approach

My approach to therapy focuses on helping clients identify and transform the core beliefs that shape their identity, relationships, and emotional patterns. Many of the challenges people experience - such as anxiety, self-doubt, or relational conflict - are often connected to beliefs formed through earlier or traumatic life experiences. Together, we explore these patterns with curiosity and compassion, helping clients develop greater self-awareness and healthier ways of thinking, communicating, and relating.

My work is informed by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Attachment Theory, Mindfulness, Family Systems Theory, and trauma-informed care. I strive to create a supportive and collaborative space where clients feel safe exploring their experiences while building practical skills such as emotional awareness, communication, and healthy boundaries that support lasting growth.

"I help clients identify and transform the core beliefs that shape their identity and relationships. Many of the patterns we struggle with are connected to beliefs formed through early or traumatic experiences. Therapy offers a space to explore those patterns with curiosity and compassion while developing greater self-awareness. As we begin to understand the story beneath our patterns, meaningful and lasting change becomes possible."

I have worked in the mental health field for over 18 years, supporting adults and adolescents as they navigate anxiety, life transitions, identity development, and relational challenges. My experience includes work in community mental health, a high school serving at-risk youth, and private practice. These settings have given me the opportunity to work with clients experiencing challenges related to self-worth, family dynamics, trauma, and the lasting impact of early life experiences.

In addition to providing therapy, I have experience supervising clinicians and developing resources that help individuals better understand the beliefs and patterns shaping their lives. I have spent many years working with adolescents and young women as they navigate identity formation, self-worth and the social and relational pressures that often arise during these stages of life. These experiences continue to inform my passion for helping clients gain insight into their patterns and create meaningful, lasting change.

I earned both my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, with a minor in Pastoral Care, and my Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Northwest University. My graduate training focused on clinical mental health counseling and evidence-based approaches to supporting individuals navigating emotional, relational, and identity-related concerns.
