MEET DENNIS

Dennis Ahana, MA, LPC

Licensed Professional Counselor

approach

My approach is eclectic, rooted in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). I tailor each session to the client's unique needs and often encourage reflection or skill practice between sessions. Above all, I focus on building a trusting relationship and creating a safe space where people feel seen and supported.

I work with young adults and adults--especially within Black and Brown communities and among athletes--through individual therapy and group spaces like support groups and self-care workshops. Aware of the stigma and barriers many face, I also bring mental health workshops into the community to make care more accessible.
