MEET JENNIFER

Jennifer Berry, MA, PCA

Professional Counselor Associate

approach

I provide care using the theoretical approaches of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Narrative Exposure Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy skills. I am very eclectic, synthesizing each individual as it fits the need. I feel that the client-therapist rapport is the most important factor when working together. Thus, the more we build, the more we will achieve.

I am from Nashville, Tennessee. After completing my Bachelors degree in Human Services and working in the field, I became even more passionate about helping others. This led me to pursuing a degree for counseling. Much of my work experience has been in human services. I have worked at community mental health centers, social service agencies and higher education. I have held roles as a family representative, intake services coordinator, triage assessor, resident associate, and enrollment analyst, in addition to the mental health counselor role. I have used my personal experiences with life to guide others to resources that actually help. It will always be my goal to bridge the gap and intercede for those who are in my community.
