MEET KYANA

Kyana Benjamin, MS, PCA

Professional Counseling Associate

approach

I work to encourage clients to express their feelings and discuss what is happening in their lives; helping them develop insight into themselves and their relationships. I take a diverse approach that uses person-centered, relational-cultural therapy, and mindfulness. My approach is personalized and rooted in trauma-informed care, designed to help you gain the tools and confidence to face life's challenges. I offer in-person and virtual sessions, creating a supportive and empowering environment to help each client explore and heal.

I completed my graduate internship in community mental health, focusing on individual counseling for adults and adolescents. For two years, I served as a social-emotional tutor, assisting elementary school children in developing skills to understand and manage their emotions. Before pursuing my Master's degree, I worked as a caseworker for individuals experiencing severe mental illness.
